The build up to ISTE has been killer. I found out six months ago that my application to present was accepted. I along with my best friend tried on a lark. A shot...mostly believing that it would be good practice filling out the form for when I really do it. Well, my practice was really good and having the help of my very dear friend, did the job. We are scheduled to present tomorrow. At 4pm. Good God that is close.
We were both excited...are excited but we saw the room we are going to be in and it is freaking huge. So my prayer has gone from, "Dear God please don't let me accidentally say something inappropriate and bring shame to my family." To..on my knees, a tiny tears slowly working their way out..."Dear Jesus, please let those people be nice. Please let me be loud enough...but not too loud. And please don't let me accidentally say something inappropriate and bring shame to my family."
Other than practicing, changing our presentation, practicing and eating we haven't done much in the way of investigating the city or the conference. We are saving that for after. When we can breathe a little.
I will let ya know how it goes.
